Basic Email Marketing
Email marketing has been around for years. Many businesses send newsletters, product promotions or details of there services via email marketing tools and with good results. Marketing to the masses is commonplace for many businesses and there are many articles online regarding how to setup and run effective email marketing in volume.
However, this is not the subject matter of this post today.
Your general email address can also assist any additional marketing efforts you are engaged in (as above) simply by making a few changes to your email layout
Help your Marketing Efforts with your Email Address.
Potential customers need to feel confident with your business and one of the simplest things you can do to come across as a professional company, is to ensure you have your company domain in your email address e.g. info@yourbusinessname.com provides more customer confidence than businessname@hotmail.com or businessname@yahoo.com
Keep your business BRAND alive
If your company has a logo, use it in your email footer and include a good disclaimer. Also include all methods of contact (Website address, contact phone numbers and your email address in case the recipient wishes to contact you). During a normal working day you could be mailing customers, suppliers and prospects etc, keeping the brand (Logo and company colours) in view will help promote your business.
Add a Periodic Promotion
You email footer could also include a promotion or product image enticing your customers or prospects to follow a link back to a product on your website. You could change this link\image periodically dependent on your business needs\campaigns.
Words of Warning
NEVER use your general business email address as a mass marketing tool. There are many such tools available for Mass Email marketing that should be used for this purpose (Send in Blue, Mailer lite etc). There is always a fear that you could be blacklisted for sending masses of emails and be labelled as a sender of spam.
Also, periodically check your email address has not been compromised (used in scams by wrong doers), a good tool for checking this is “have I Been Pawned” Click Here to Check your email address online.
