Web Design or any Web Development project, media marketing or Web Hosting Solution can be confusing, there is so much terminology and jargon, it can be daunting for anyone to understand. to this aim, we have prepared an FAQ that may be of use and assistance with many elements of our services and products.

Website Related FAQ’s

A domain name is the string of text used to access the address of your website (www.yourwebsite.com etc).
Domain names are obtained from a registrar and renewed at intervals (normally a 1year or 2 year period). A domain name remains yours whilst renewals are maintained (payment). Should you decide you no longer need the domain name it is returned back to the registrar.

Yes.

Should you already have a domain name for your project, we can use that – not a problem.

This depends on the kind of website you require.
Some websites only require a few basic pages which can be a low cost solution for getting online.
Other websites can have many pages (E-Commerce Sites, large business portfolio websites etc),  obviously labours involved can be greater for these projects than a smaller web solution. 

It is worth noting that here at Inline Data, all our quotations are given Free of Charge.
We will discuss your requirements and aim to get the best “cost effective” solution for your project.

Modern platforms require mobile friendly applications. Regardless of how you access your site (Mobile Phone, Tablet, Laptop or Desktop PC), your site will be available across all devices. 

This really is how “long is a piece of string”.
Basic websites (5 to 6 pages) are generally available in around 2 weeks – This includes domain registration, SEO work including submission to search engines for ranking.
Larger Sites are by virtue of size and additional content, are going to take longer. 

Regular maintenance is essential for any web application, as such, this is an option offered to all our customers.
All our maintenance includes the following (but not limited to);

  • Daily Backups
  • Security checks
  • Application updates (Plugins, Php, Mysql etc)
  • Domain management
  • Various SEO Updates (as applicable)

Every website needs to be hosted on a web server.
Any project that we work on, we offer web hosting as part of our service. However, if you have your own hosting platform, we are happy to develop on your own hosting solution.

Yes you can. Inline Data also offer training on “Good Practice” should you decide to maintain your website yourself.
Alternatively, we can manage and update your project on your behalf.

As many forms as you like (that sits well within the site obviously).
Contact forms, order forms, surveys etc can be included as applicable.

If you have the domain name – Yes

All SEO (Website Optermisation) will be added during the build. It should be noted that SEO requirements can change frequently – SEO is an ongoing thing and needs to be monitored regular.

You could Yes!! – However, there is an IMPORTANT process that needs to be adhered to if redesigning or revamping your current website. If designed the right way – you should NOT loose ranking.

Possibly – This is something that we would certainly look at for you.
If however your old site is old technology (not mobile friendly, slow loading etc) we would advise to update and bring up to current standards\requirements. 

Yes we could.
This is always discussed during initial order palcement.
Many organisation find they are to busy, or do not have spare manpower resource to ensure REGULAR updates are security checks. We undertake that process for you if you choose not to do it yourself.
Furthermore, this means your SEO is also monitored for you.

Yes.
During the build you will see your site frequently.
You have input on content, colours, design etc. Inline Data work with you to get the look and feel you want for your business.
Upon completion and all parties are happy, the site will go live.
